Mom and I went to NYS Animal Advocacy Day at the Capitol in Albany, New York on June 3, 2015. Lawmakers, law enforcement, pet owners, rescue groups statewide came together to advocate and raise awareness on important animal issues; such as calling on lawmakers to create a statewide registry for convicted animal abusers. It would also ensure they aren't allowed to adopt or purchase animals again. There were very many other things discussed as well.
